World Book Day

9th March 2017

World Book Day 2017

This year the School Council decided that the school would celebrate World Book Day by exchanging their school uniform for pyjamas, with their favourite bedtime story to share with other children, and a teddy.

Reading a bedtime story to your child is one of the best things you can do to help them with their academic development; research shows that children who are read to from an early age have better language development long term and that parental involvement in reading has a more marked effect on a child’s ability than any other factor.

Please make time to read a story to/or with your child on World Book Day and every other day of the year.
