Curriculum at Slindon

At Slindon Church of England Primary School, we are proud of our exciting and meaningful curriculum. As a Christian school, we ensure that our curriculum is broad, balanced, nurturing and challenging, to ensure that every unique individual can flourish. It has been carefully developed and mapped out by our subject leaders to ensure that our children acquire the disciplinary and substantive knowledge and skills needed for their next stage of learning.

We want all of our learners to leave Slindon CofE Primary School confident and curious. We want them to learn and develop by making links within and across their learning and by using trips and opportunities, to extend their thinking and challenge their ideas.

Learning Outside the Classroom is central to our curriculum and we use our enabling environment to ensure that what and how our children learn is engaging and exciting; enabling everyone to achieve their full potential!

Our community and the positive relationships we develop is central to providing a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment, in which the children are happy to be challenged and stretched to meet their potential.

Be sure to check out our 'Religious Education and  'Philosophy for Learning (P4C) ' tab, as the principles of both are threaded through our whole curriculum.

Don't forget to have a look at each class page for a more in-depth look at our curriculum in action!
