Courageous Advocacy

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.

At Slindon CofE Primary School endeavor to support local, national and global charities, through our courageous advocacy. We believe that we should show kindness to others and one way to do this is through our activities in school.

Locally
We fundraise through our PFA, who then support the school in buying new resources.
We fundraise through our School Council, who choose charities to support.
We fundraise through our celebrations, such as Harvest, giving food and supplies to the local food bank.

Nationally
We fundraise for charities, such as 'Gene for jeans,' UK Harvest and Shelter.

Globally
We support and fundraise for 'Children in Need' and 'Comic Relief'.

As a school we teach about charity through our collective worship, RE curriculum and PSHE. We aim to give the children a clear understanding of what courageous advocacy is and why it is so important.
