We began our journey to becoming a Rights Respecting School in 2018. Being a Rights Respecting School is central to everything we are about. It influences every aspect of our pedagogy, our curriculum intent, our safeguarding policy and procedures, our behaviour policy and sets the climate and culture of our school.

Whilst we are a small village school, we have big ideas and a broad outlook. We make it our business to know what's going on in the world, to have an opinion and a voice.

What does it look like in our school? Well, it influences the positive relationships we have with each other. We respect each other equally. The children give no more respect to the Headteacher than they do to their friends and our fantastic support staff. The staff give no more respect to the adults than they do to the children- everyone is respected equally as unique individuals
