Sussex Day

One a beautifully sunny day in June the children in Chestnut class were invited to Bury Primary School to take part in activities for Sussex Day.
They had a fantastic day playing stool ball; learning to Morris dance; singing folk songs and learning about our wonderful locality from the team at the South Downs National Park.
Here's what the children had to say:
I really enjoyed the entire day - Sophie
We all loved the Morris dancing - Genevieve
The day was varied and new - Darcie
The community was kind and caring towards us - Charlie M
I thought the activities were amazing - Ben
The song lyrics were silly and I liked it; it was great fun putting actions to the sea shanty  - Samuel
