Internet Legends

On Tuesday 25th June the children in Acorn and Chestnut Classes were joined by some pupils from Slindon College for a special assembly about internet safety.

Ollie and Jenni from Google treated the children to a fun and informative ‘Be Internet Legends’ assembly.

The children have been awarded Internet Legendary status and now know how to be safe, confident explorers of the online world.

Here’s what the children had to say:

I learnt that the green lock at the top of the website means the website is safe. Now I will always check for it. – Lucy

Never share your personal information. – Holly

I have learnt about the ‘s’ on the end of https that means secure. – Ollie

Never share your password. – Lara

I have learnt how to be a legend and how to be safe on the internet, you should always be safe. – Ella

When you use the internet make sure you discard pop-ups and cookies. – Lilija

To be safe you need to make sure that you lock your personal data. – Tyler

Always keep a password that can easily be remembered but no-one else knows that has a mixture of lower and upper case letters, numbers and symbols. - Marcus
