Hello!
Welcome to the Class page of Hazel Class 2023-2024. We are very happy to see them all again after the summer.
Our focus this term is all about getting to know themselves and where they live. We will be focusing on the UK in Geography and learning all about our country. In RE we are engaging with the idea of 'belonging' and how it feels to belong. For Science, we are looking at Animals including Humans and understanding what we need to survive and thrive and keep healthy.
Our English text is called 'The Squirrels that Squabbled' the children are already very engaged in this story and are learning some big new words to add their vocabulary as well as thinking about what might happen next in the story.
In maths, both year 1 and 2 are tackling place value and using resources to sort and count objects.
I am looking forward to working with them this year
